Interpress has been active in Kazakhstan since 1998. Since its inception, our company has played a central role in providing education locally, and has also become the largest supplier of foreign language study materials, including reputable publications from Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Longman, Macmillan etc. The schools and bookshops (www.interpress.kz), (www.ih.kz) are responsible for teaching and bookselling respectively, our travel agency (www.intertravel.kz) dealing with the travel side of the business.

At this moment our language centre is unique in Central Asia, having accreditation from International House World organisation (www.ihworld.com). International House was founded in 1953 and now unites over 140 schools in 50 countries. International House is a recognised leader in the field of foreign language learning, as well as in the development of progressive techniques of teaching. It offers unique opportunities for students and teachers.

Teachers from different countries, including from Great Britain and the USA work at InterPress International House. They have recognised worldwide certificates and diplomas such as the Cambridge CELTA (the most widespread international certificate which allows teachers to teach English in any country of the world), DELTA, IHC, MA in TESOL etс.

InterPress International House is the only language centre in Central Asia which has received accreditation as a training centre. There are teacher training courses in our centre which give teachers the opportunity to obtain international certificates such as Cambridge CELTA (The Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (www.celta.kz), IHC (The International House Certificate in Teaching English), IHCYL (The International House Certificate in Teaching Young Learners) and IHC On-line.

The teachers’ work and the quality of education at InterPress International House is coordinated and supervised by The Director of Studies and the assistants (ADOSes). An inspection is conducted yearly by the commission from the head office, International House (London).

Over the course the students are given regular feedback on their progress. Students at InterPress International House are tested and those passing the course receive certificates at the end of each level.

InterPress International House uses a communicative style of teaching which develops all the basic language skills, including speaking and writing, reading and listening. At the same time students learn grammar and vocabulary. This methodology has been increasingly used over 40 years and is well-known all over the world.

Owing to the high qualification of our teachers, excellent teaching materials and resource base, we are accredited as the centre to conduct international language examinations including IELTS (www.ielts.org, www.ielts.kz), TOEFL iBT (www.toefl.org, www.toeflcenter.kz) , TOEIC ®(www.exams.kz).
