· InterPress-International House Language School is the largest and most respected School of Foreign Languages in Kazakhstan. As a member of the International House World Organisation we offer job opportunities to language teachers

· The majority of our classes are adult General English classes, but we also have a very active young learner programme, in-company classes, Exam classes (TOEFL, IELTS and GMAT), Business English classes and ESP programme. · Professional development: InterPress-IH has a monthly seminar programme. Teachers attend seminars on a variety of EFL topics related to their day-to-day teaching concerns. These seminars are given by DOS, ADOSes and teachers themselves. We also run occasional EFL workshops on demand. Furthermore, teachers are observed regularly by senior members of staff as part of our ongoing commitment to teacher development.

Requirements: Applicants must have one of the following qualifications:

· Cambridge CELTA

· IHC

· Trinity TESOL

· MA in TESOL

· or equivalent + at least 1 year teaching experience

9 and 12 month full-time contracts are available, with competitive salary and excellent local remuneration package (bonus system, visa support, paid accommodation, airfare allowance, paid holidays and health care).

Start dates September-October 2010.

You can find an active night life in Almaty, night clubs with different music styles - rock, jazz, RNB, House and so on, billiards, carting and bowling; restaurants with different cuisine (European, national or oriental), lots of summer cafes. The underground will soon be put into operation.

The word Almaty means “apple abundance” from Turkic word “alma” meaning apple tree. This city-orchard is located at the bottom of the great Tian Shen mountain range - a northern arm of the Himalayas, which is one of the most beautiful mountains in the world, with a splendid view of mountain rivers with pure water, beautiful canyons and mountainous lakes taking their waters from melting ices. All around the year a wide range of activities are available such as hiking, parachute jumping, rafting, swimming in lakes and springs, mountain skiing, skating, hunting and fishing. There are several equipped centres for mountain skiing here and the only skating ring in the world situated high in the mountains, where one can skate in winter and roll in summer, it is in 30-40 min drive from the city.
